By visiting our site and/or booking a service from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”, “Terms”), including the additional terms, conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink, such as our Booking & Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy and Intellectual Property Rights notice. These Terms apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, customers and/or contributors of content.
Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, you may not access the website or use any services.
JollyEast is a China inbound travel brand offering tours, activities and transfers in China. The person making a booking accepts these Terms on behalf of all members of their travel party and is responsible for the full payment of the booking.
Part A – Booking Terms
1. Bookings and Confirmation
1.1. Bookings can be made through our website or directly with our team by email. No contract between you and JollyEast exists until we have received payment and issued a written booking confirmation.
1.2. Please provide complete and accurate details when booking, including the names of all travellers as shown in their passports, your contact details and your pick-up location where applicable. You are responsible for checking your booking confirmation carefully and informing us immediately of any errors. We cannot be held responsible for mistakes in the information you provide.
1.3. You are responsible for providing us with correct contact information so that we can inform you of any changes to the services booked.
2. Prices and Payment
2.1. Prices are displayed in the currency selected on our website. JollyEast is not responsible for currency fluctuations or for fees charged by your bank or card issuer, such as foreign transaction or currency conversion fees.
2.2. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the full price of the booking is payable at the time of booking through the secure payment methods displayed at checkout.
2.3. We reserve the right to change published prices without prior notice. Once a booking has been confirmed, the price will not change, except where an increase results from changes in government taxes, fees or regulations beyond our control.
2.4. Promotional codes and special offers must be entered at checkout at the time of booking and cannot be applied retrospectively.
3. Passports, Visas and Real-name Ticketing
3.1. You are responsible for holding a valid passport and the correct visa or visa-exemption status for your visit to China, and for complying with all entry, exit and health requirements.
3.2. Many attractions, trains and flights in China require real-name booking. You must provide accurate passport details when requested and carry the same passport on the day of your tour. We are not responsible for denied entry or missed services caused by incorrect or missing documents.
4. Pick-up and Meeting Points
4.1. Please read the tour description carefully to see whether hotel pick-up is included or whether you will meet us at a designated meeting point. Your pick-up time and meeting point will be stated in your booking confirmation.
4.2. You are responsible for being ready at the correct place and time. Missing the pick-up or arriving late at the meeting point does not entitle you to a refund.
5. Itinerary Changes, Weather and Force Majeure
5.1. We reserve the right to alter routes, itineraries, timetables or the order of visits where necessary, for example due to weather, traffic, attraction closures, government regulations or safety concerns. We will always try to offer a comparable alternative.
5.2. JollyEast cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, delay, injury, illness or additional expense caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including adverse weather, natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, war, government action, or flight and train delays or cancellations.
5.3. If changes to your flights or trains cause additional costs (such as extra hotel nights, meals or transfers), these costs are your responsibility. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
6. Health, Fitness and Participation
6.1. Some tours involve walking, climbing stairs, hiking or travelling at high altitude (for example, in Tibet). You are responsible for ensuring that you are fit and healthy enough to take part, and for informing us before booking of any medical condition, mobility limitation or dietary requirement.
6.2. Our guides may refuse participation to any traveller who they reasonably believe is not fit to complete the tour safely, who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who is not appropriately dressed or equipped. In such cases, full cancellation charges apply.
7. Conduct
All travellers must respect local laws, customs and cultural sites, and follow the reasonable instructions of our guides and drivers. We reserve the right to refuse or end participation, without refund, for any traveller whose behaviour is abusive, threatening or endangers the safety or enjoyment of others.
8. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance in their home country covering cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation and personal belongings.
9. Luggage and Personal Belongings
You are responsible for your luggage and personal belongings at all times. JollyEast accepts no liability for items that are lost, stolen or damaged during a tour. We will make reasonable efforts to help return any items found.
10. Third-party Suppliers
Some services, such as hotels, attractions, trains, flights and activities, are provided by independent suppliers. JollyEast acts in good faith in selecting suppliers but cannot be held responsible for their acts, omissions or defaults beyond our reasonable control.
11. Feedback and Complaints
We welcome all feedback. If you are not satisfied with any part of your service, please tell your guide or contact us during the tour so that we can try to resolve it immediately. Any complaint must be submitted in writing to info@jollyeast.com within 14 days of the end of your tour.
